Camila Cabello Says Blake Shelton Didn't Hint About Leaving The Voice
She had no idea Season 23 would be his last!
In case you can’t get enough of Camila Cabello on The Voice, the new Coach sat down with Jimmy Fallon on October 12's Tonight Show to discuss working with fellow Coach Blake Shelton.
“He’s so funny. He’s so fast,” the singer praised. In fact, Cabello is so impressed by Shelton that she suggested he try stand-up comedy. “He’s that funny. He makes me pee my pants of laughter on the show," she said.
Shelton recently announced that Season 23 of The Voice, airing in 2023, will be his last. He's been the longest-running Coach, appearing in every season since the show premiered in 2011.
“If there’s ever a time to do something…” Cabello commented on Shelton’s departure. “I mean, he’s been on it for a really long time.”
“He didn’t hint [about leaving the show] at all,” she added. “I definitely made fun of him a lot for–'cause he’s always like, you know, ‘I’ve won the show how many times, and you’ve won it no times.’ And I was like, 'Well, it’s a game of probability. If you’re on the show 23 seasons, you’re gonna win a third.'”
Shelton has had some impressive teams on The Voice, winning the show a whopping eight times. As for his last season, he will be accompanied by a new lineup of Coaches. Chance the Rapper and Niall Horan will make their debuts, while Kelly Clarkson will return after a brief hiatus.
