Gwen Stefani Opens Up About Her 'First Public Date Night' With Blake Shelton
"It's, like, such a moment for me. A good one," the Voice Coach said on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
During a recent walk down memory lane on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Gwen Stefani took a look back at her most memorable fashion moments. And one of them marked a very special date night with her husband and fellow Voice Coach, Blake Shelton.
The look in question was a scarlet, barely-there gown outfitted with mesh and faux rose petals. Stefani wore the Yanina Couture dress for a 2016 red carpet event.
"That was my first public date with Blake Shelton, actually," she revealed to Clarkson. "It was the Oscars Vanity Fair party. I think I played at the party and then we went out that night."
She continued, "He never does red carpets, now that I know him...That always melts me when I see it because it's, like, such a moment for me. A good one."

Shelton and Stefani officially tied the knot on July 23, 2021. This season of The Voice marks the first the musicians have worked on as a married couple. So far, fans have seen adorable couple moments, in addition to some face-offs during the competitive Blind Auditions. (Watch Brayden Lape or Jay Allen's performances for a refresher.)

“I’m gonna be brutally honest. When I first came on The Voice [in 2014], I didn’t know that Blake even existed really in the world," she revealed to NBC Insider in an interview this September. "But then I did my homework and I could see that he was an amazing songwriter, and then I could see everybody falling in love with him.”
