Is there a new Dateline on tonight, March 21, 2025?
Yes! A new episode of Dateline airs on Friday, March 21, at 9/8c on NBC.
Dateline’s Andrea Canning reports from Buffalo, New York on the latest developments in the 2015 death of chiropractor Dr. Mary Yoder. “The unexplained death of a beloved chiropractor becomes a criminal investigation when authorities discover she’d been poisoned. Nearly a decade after the murder, a court makes a dramatic decision about the young woman at the heart of the case,” a synopsis for Friday’s episode — “Poison Twist” — reads.
During Friday’s episode, Canning will speak with Yoder’s sisters and daughters as well as Kaitlyn Conley, who worked as a receptionist for Yoder and was found guilty of first-degree manslaughter in the chiropractor’s death. She was sentenced to 23 years in prison.
In February 2025, an appeals court ruled to overturn Conley’s manslaughter conviction and she was released from prison. Canning will also speak with Conley’s attorney, Melissa Swartz, in Dateline’s new report.
Dateline first reported on the suspicious poisoning death of Yoder in 2017 — Season 26, Episode 10 (“Poisoned”).

Ahead of Friday’s new broadcast, you can catch up on the latest episodes from Dateline on Peacock, including last week’s episode, “Deadly Entanglement.”
The March 14 episode, reported by correspondent Blayne Alexander, reported on the murder of middle school art teacher Desiree Sunford. Alexander told NBC Insider “there are a LOT of layers to this story.”
"Questions about marriage and romance are normal with any Dateline, but this story was about a husband and wife — then another woman — then another man... all of which led investigators down a strange road before finally getting to the truth,” Alexander said. “And many of Desiree’s friends we spoke with still don’t believe she’s fully gotten justice."
