Jimmy Fallon Crashed The Voice to Impressively Sing a Tony Bennett Classic
You won't believe the notes the Tonight Show Host hit while singing "I Left My Heart in San Francisco."
Jimmy Fallon made a surprise appearance on the November 20 episode of The Voice Season 24 and did something that will make you love him even more.
Fallon started off his appearance by sitting in the audience with a beard and sunglasses disguise, trying to get the attention of Host Carson Daly. Fallon then declared that whoever wins Season 24 of The Voice should get to go on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
"What time does Blake [Shelton] get here?" he then asked Coach Gwen Stefani.
Then, just when it looked like Fallon was about to exit, he walked onstage and did a performance of the jazz standard "I Left My Heart in San Francisco," made popular by Tony Bennett.

"I'm getting emotional!" Coach John Legend said before giving him a standing ovation.
Fallon then approached the Coaches, and Niall Horan played with Fallon's fake beard. He shook Stefani's hand, saying "You look beautiful."
"I love you," Stefani responded.
"You sound gorgeous!" Legend said.
"You can't turn your chairs around!" Fallon said while Horan jokingly pressed his red button.
Fallon wrapped up the performance by playfully dropping to his knees and lying down onstage. All four Coaches then got up from their chairs, clapping in appreciation.
"He sounded so good!" Legend exclaimed. "I would totally turn my chair for him, honestly. I would have pushed my button."
Stefani and Horan agreed.
"I was a little emotional," Legend added. "You know, we just lost Tony Bennett, and that was one of his songs. I was a little emotional hearing that version. And I know Jimmy was trying to be funny, but he sounded really good."

The performance of "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" has a sentimental meaning for Legend, as he and Bennett actually recorded a song together many years ago. Bennett and Legend's gorgeous rendition of the song "Sing, You Sinners" appeared on Bennett's 2006 album Duets: An American Classic.
Tony Bennett passed away on July 21, 2023 at the age of 96. Legend paid tribute to him on his official Instagram page. "We lost one of the greats today," Legend wrote. "Tony Bennett was such a wonderful Artist and a lovely man. It was an honor to spend time and make music with him."
