Kelly Clarkson Covered 'It's Raining Men' and Hit an Incredible Note
Kelly Clarkson brought the thunder with this amazing cover!
In case you couldn’t get enough of Kelly Clarkson covering nostalgic '80s bops, you won’t want to miss her recent Kellyoke cover of the 1982 hit “It's Raining Men” by The Weather Girls.
The cover started out with some heavy, atmospheric drums. “Humidity is rising, barometer's getting low, according to all sources, the street's the place to go,” she crooned with ease.
Then, as the song started to build in intensity, so did her voice. “Cause tonight for the first time, just about half-past 10, for the first time in history, it's gonna start raining men,” she sang with fervor.
Building up to the suspenseful chorus, Clarkson let her powerful voice unleash in its full glory. “It's raining men, hallelujah, it's raining men, amen!” she sang the song’s signature lyrics on repeat while expertly hitting the notes.
For the bridge, she softly sang, “I feel stormy weather moving in, about to begin. And then in perfect juxtaposition, she grew louder and louder until her voice exploded into an amazing belted high note. “Hear the thunder, don't you lose your head, rip off the roof and stay in bed!” she sang her heart out.
To finish the song off, she repeated the chorus while her backup singers accompanied her with their expressive voices. Blue lights flashed behind her while she hit her final note, and the audience erupted in applause.
