Kelly Clarkson Masterfully Belted Lady Gaga's Song 'Stupid Love'
Mother Monster would be proud!
Kelly Clarkson just killed it again with another Kellyoke! This time, it was a cover of Lady Gaga's 2020 hit “Stupid Love” on the November 29th episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show.
The song kicked off with Clarkson's signature upbeat energy. “You're the one that I've been waiting for, gotta quit this crying. Nobody's 'gonna heal me if I don't open the door; kinda hard to believe, gotta have faith in me,” she sang with a groove in her voice and a bounce in her step.
She continued on with the pre-chorus by hitting some flawless high notes. “Cause all I ever wanted was love,” she sang while the song grew in intensity.
Then, when the suspenseful chorus hit, Clarkson performed the song with a satisfying grit in her voice. “I want your stupid love,” she sang with energy and passion while her band rocked out and purple lights flashed behind her.
“I don't need a reason, not sorry I want your stupid love,” she sang these lyrics before hitting an unreal, belted sustained note. The background singers joined in, harmonizing perfectly with Clarkson’s voice while she continued to sing, “I want your stupid love” on repeat until the song ended on a singular, defiant beat. As always, the audience erupted in cheers.
