On August 10, the America's Got Talent Season 18 finalist shared the most gorgeous clip of her performing a rendition of "What Was I Made For?" by Billie Eilish, and her heavenly version will have you reaching for the tissues. (AGT Season 12 winner Darci Lynne also masterfully took on the song this year).

During her cover, Ariani gently crooned while keeping a perfectly balanced breathy tone. She hit soft high notes with ease in a way that will send chills down your spine and finished with a unique riff that was breathtakingly haunting.

Split of Putri Ariani and Billie Eilish

Written for the hit 2023 film Barbie, "What Was I Made For?" reached the number 14 position on the Billboard US Hot 100 in July 2023. The melancholy lyrics tell the story of Barbie's arc through the film, but also reflect on the personal feelings of Eilish as well.

"I was purely inspired by this movie and this character and the way I thought she would feel, and wrote about that," Eilish told Billboard of her creative process of writing the song. "I absolutely was writing about myself, but I was thinking about myself from a third person."
