For the first time ever, the stage will have to make room for a Double Coaches’ chair, now that country superstars Dan + Shay are on board as first duo to share Coaching duty on The Voice.
Those iconic chairs aren’t gonna turn themselves, and it’ll be up to this season’s fresh new lineup of aspiring Artists to persuade Dan + Shay, plus Coaching colleagues Chance the Rapper, John Legend, and Reba McEntire that they’ve got what it takes to go the distance.

On Thursday, February 22, the Double Coaches chair is hitting the New York City streets — all the better to give fans the chance to experience the magic of The Voice through the eyes (and the seats) of the celebrity Coaches who make it happen.

To commemorate the big debut of the Double Coaches chair, The Voice is popping up in New York City ahead of the Season 25 premiere with a Chair Tour that might just have you seeing double. If you’re out and about in New York on Thursday, February 22, head on over to the popup site at 30 Rock South Plaza (you know, smack in front of the iconic Rockefeller Plaza building!) between 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. ET.
Bring a friend (or three) and take your seats in the new Double Chair while becoming an instant online hit with on-site photo ops and even your own video to share on social media. Wanna push the big red button? Go ahead! But remember: In the Double Chair, it’s all about making team decisions — so be sure to pull the same move we’ll no doubt be seeing from Dan + Shay and do it in unison, one hand over the other. Or at least take turns.
