What is NBC’s Found about?

Created by All American alum Nkechi Okoro Carroll, Found is a missing persons procedural, in which crisis management firm Mosely & Associates finds lost individuals often ignored by the proper authorities. The renowned company was founded by ex-kidnap victim Gabi Mosely (played by series producer Shanola Hampton), who continues to grapple with the deep psychological fallout of her year-long imprisonment at the hands of her deranged high school English teacher, Hugh Evans (Gosselaar).

"She's so complex," Hampton recently told NBC Insider when asked if she based her performance on a real-world figure. "She has this mission, but she’s also experienced such a horrible tragedy. So I really let the script define a lot of her wardrobe, the setting, and created the character from all of those elements."

Determined to never let that happen to anyone ever again, Gabi and her team (a collection of fellow trauma victims) pool their unique investigative talents to solve various cases and bring innocent people back home.

Kelli Williams (Margaret Reed), Brett Dalton (Detective Mark Trent), Gabrielle Walsh (Lacey Quinn), Arlen Escarpeta (Zeke Wallace), and Karan Oberoi (Dhan Rana) round out the main cast.

In addition to her role as creator and showrunner, Carroll is also an executive producer on Found with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, and Lindsay Dunn.
