The Traitors' CT and Trishelle Dish on Disputes and What "Castle Daddy" Should Do Next
The biggest players of Season 2 of The Traitors reveal what happened after the finale, and what's to come.
Spoilers for Season 2 of The Traitors below!
If you watched all 11 episodes of The Traitors Season 2, plus The Traitors Reunion Show, you likely still have more questions for winners Chris "CT" Tamburello and Trishelle Cannatella. NBC Insider did too, so we dug a little more into where the pair were mentally by the season finale episode and the Fire of Truth; what the mood was with the very upset third runner-up Mercedes "MJ" Javid and what the out of retirement competition reality stars want to do next after their big win.

What happened right after CT and Trishelle won The Traitors?
By the finale episode, both Tamburello and Cannatella told NBC Insider that their game play was absolutely not as sharp as it was a few missions and banishment votes prior.
"I was really tired," Cannatella confessed. "I was like, what else are they gonna throw at us? Like, are they gonna bring somebody else from Bravo in a fire pit, like freakin' Kyle [Cooke] from Summer House? Who else is coming?"

Maybe that's why they didn't catch on that MJ was livid with them, which especially seemed to blindside Trishelle during The Reunion Show. Asked what went down after their on-camera win with host Alan Cumming, Cannatella said she knew there was some tension with MJ, but there wasn't a confrontation.
"I could feel a little bit tension with MJ," she remembered. "But then right after [the banishment], she walked off. I didn't hear what she said until I watched the finale. She said something like, "I hope you guys are happy with your decision or something," but I couldn't hear her where I was standing. So I didn't know how upset she was. And then after that, we celebrated, then CT and I are 40-somethings so we just go back to our hotel rooms and went to bed."
Tamburello confirmed and added, "You know when you do something traumatic then it's finally over, all the adrenaline leaves your body and you're just exhausted? I was really almost somber. I was excited. But at the same time, I just want to take a shower, order a club sandwich and go to bed."
CT disputes Trishelle's version of their early time in the castle
Cannatella and Tamburello's relationship goes back to MTV's The Real World and The Challenge reality shows, which didn't always have them enjoying one another's company. But after years not doing any shows together, The Traitors was seemingly a clean slate for the two. That old hurts from their competition days flared up, especially during the shield ceremony, was a surprise to both of them.
"Oh, God, I didn't expect it," Cannatella said of the late in season distrust that flared between them, even in the first Fire of Truth banishment vote.
In fact, Cannatella said the early days of Season 2 felt like she was meeting an all new CT.
"It was awesome that we got to do the show together," she said. "I just didn't know what to expect. I thought, 'Oh God, Bananas and CT, they're gonna get rid of me. They're gonna team up together in a 'boys alliance,' but that didn't happen."

She said during one early conversation with CT, she remembered being impressed by him.
"I was like, 'Wow! I haven't talked to him in so long. He has completely changed. He's such a good person, like a great guy. A gentlemen.' I'm like, 'OK, I like this guy.'"
To which, CT deadpanned, "Thanks, but that's not what she said. She said, and I quote, 'If I become a Traitor, I'm gonna get rid of CT as soon as possible.'"
While Cannatella questioned that, Tamburello doubled-down.
"Roll the clip!'" he joked."But that's how we've always been."
What's next for CT and Trishelle?
Before The Traitors, Cannatella hadn't appeared on a competition reality show since 2021's The Challenge: All Stars. While Tamburello tapped out of the genre after winning 2021's The Challenge: Spies, Lies & Allies. But they admit, this win has given them the taste for it again.
"I would love to do more shows because I had so much fun on this one," Cannatella admitted. "Despite MJ getting hurt which was terrible, I had a great time. I made good friends, so I would love to do another show."
Tamburello agreed.
"I was born and raised in it," he grumbled about the genre. "Every time I tell myself I'm gonna walk away, I always get sucked right back in. But this one was so enjoyable."
"There was competition but maybe because I'm getting older now, I don't want to get thrown off a cliff anymore," he added with a laugh.

Or maybe Cannatella has manager aspirations for CT because she already has ideas.
"I think CT is gonna go more mainstream television," she closed. "I mean, he's the 'castle daddy' now. You can't just throw the 'castle daddy' back on The Challenge. Like, he deserves another show! I think there will be offers for you."
