Saltburn actor Jacob Elordi is hosting Saturday Night Live for the first time on January 20, 2024, and it's safe to say he's hyping himself up for the challenging role.

How to Watch

Watch Saturday Night Live Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c on NBC and Peacock, streaming next day on Peacock.

In a new promo, Elordi gave fans a glimpse of the nerves he's facing when it comes to doing his opening monologue—especially when it comes to walking down the proverbial steps that so many A-listers have done before him.

"Hey man, you good?" concerned cast member Punkie Johnson asked Elordi as he stared down at the steps.

"They all make it look sooooo easy..." Elordi said with a sigh.

"He's looking at the stairs?" Marcello Hernandez asked Johnson.

Elordi then retreated in fear, as Johnson and Hernandez tried to encourage him.

"You got this bro, c'mon," Hernandez said.

"Let's go. Its just a step!" Johnson cheered.

Elordi then tried sliding down the stairs sideways before Hernandez gave him a stair-walking tutorial, one foot in front of the other.

"I'm Jacob and I'm gonna go down these steps!" the long-limbed Elordi said, as he began to crawl on his hands and knees.

"Yes, Jacob!" Hernadez exclaimed.

"C'mon, you're almost there!" Johnson said.

Just when it looked like Elordi was finally going to complete the daunting task, he tripped and fell directly on his face. Johnson and Hernandez audibly winced and then scurried away.

"Nobody's supposed to know we're here. Should we help him?" Johnson asked.

"Just go. Just go," Hernandez whispered.

But don't worry, Elordi was completely fine. He was simply giving audiences a preview of his slapstick chops and full commitment to silliness.
