Where Is Luke Mitchell's Dr. Ripley on Chicago Med? April 2, 2025
From a jaw-dropping suspension to a near-death experience, Ripley's been through it this season.
Dr. Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell) has been navigating some seriously intense drama on Season 10 of Chicago Med, so you can bet fans were quick to note his absence during the April 2, 2025 episode.
After the disheartening sudden death of his best friend, Ripley's been thrown through the wringer of grief as he struggles to keep hold of the things that matter most to him. After going on a bit of a bender and fighting with his girlfriend, Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram), it seemed like Ripley was about to lose it all after being suspended from Gaffney following a brutal bar fight. The suspension was a jarring wake-up call for the doctor.
Ripley nearly died while trying to help an injured mother and daughter stuck in a well. He was rescued from the madness and narrowly survived the ordeal. After the hospital board caught wind of Ripley's valiant heroics, they reinstated his license.

Where was Dr. Mitch Ripley on Chicago Fire this week? April 2, 2025
Ripley is still recovering from a near-death incident, leading him to be M.I.A. for a little while on Med. Ripley sustained some nasty injuries during his rescue mission, putting him out of commission ahead of his return to the Windy City Emergency Department.
Ripley will return to Gaffney after nearly losing his job
Fans got to check in on the charming doctor during the March 26 episode of Chicago Med, when Ripley caught up with some of his Gaffney colleagues while recovering at the hospital.
Despite his injuries, Ripley was more concerned about whether or not the hospital board was giving him the axe once and for all. Aware of the whole story, Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) visited Ripley to deliver the news; he was no longer suspended and could return to his post. The board was impressed with his dedication. Ripley couldn't be more grateful to get a second chance to prove himself, telling Goodwin that he wouldn't let her down again.
Ripley may have his job back, but his relationship with Hannah remains turbulent. He told Dr. Frost (Darren Barnet) that he and Hannah were saving the "big talk" for whenever he had fully recovered, effectively putting a pin in that juicy storyline. Hannah and Ripley have confessed their love for each other, but their problems are far from resolved. Fans can't wait to see Ripley make his triumphant return to Gaffney, but his future remains a mystery.
