Spoiler Alert: This article will discuss details about the Suits LA premiere episode
Suits LA is officially off to the races, having aired its debut episode on Feb. 23. Cooked up by OG Suits creator Aaron Korsh, the second spinoff of USA's hit legal procedural shifts the focus from New York to Los Angeles for a captivating look at the dog-eat-dog world of entertainment law.

Arrow alum Stephen Amell leads the story as Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor with a murky past, who gave up going after criminals in New York to represent celebrities in the City of Angels. As one of the co-leaders of the prestigious Black Lane law firm, Ted can be...an acquired taste, shall we say. After all, showing weakness in the world of show biz can be lethal for one's career.
SPOILER ALERT: This article will discuss the plot of Suits LA, Episode 1.
But that hardened exterior is merely a temporary facade — one that Ted discards once he returns home to his younger brother, Eddie. Or so we're led to believe. By the end of the pilot, we learn that Eddie actually died some years before (the result of their father's bad decisions), and Ted imagines interactions with him as a way to process the terrible grief.
Who plays Eddie in Suits LA?
Eddie Black is played by newcomer Carson A. Egan in his first major acting role.
"He's been very nice and welcoming," Egan said of Amell while walking the premiere read carpet. When asked about his favorite part about being on set, he replied: "Just being part of a new family."
"Carson, who plays Eddie, is such a wonderful actor," Amell said. "He's so great to work with, such an earnest young man. His performance makes the scenes with Ted and Eddie very easy for me to be involved in. But yeah, Ted definitely has some stuff going on, and he's not telling anyone about it, which, as we know, never leads to good things."
