Why Heidi Klum Says America's Got Talent Is a 'Rollercoaster of Emotions'
Filming for Season 17 is currently underway.
America's Got Talent Season 17 is upon us. The premiere episode airs Tuesday, May 31 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, and all your favorites are returning. Heidi Klum, Sofía Vergara, Howie Mandel, and Simon Cowell are all back at the Judges' table, as is Terry Crews as Host. And like every season of AGT, fans should expect the unexpected.
"Nothing gets redundant, and nothing gets the same," Klum told Access Hollywood in mid-April about her experience on the show. "Every day is new and different. I mean, yes, we [the Judges and Host] might be the same, but you see all these crazy, different people on the stage. We're having the best time. I always call it a 'rollercoaster of emotions,' because a person comes and they're singing. The next is an aerialist. The next one is a contortionist or a comedian. Everyone has a story to tell because they're real people. They're not actors. This is not a movie. This is real life. It's always fun to hear the stories...it never gets boring."
Klum mentioned contortionists, and the America's Got Talent Instagram recently shared a video of the drag queen contortionist making a splash this upcoming season. Their stage name is Scarlett Business, and their AGT audition was a mix of classic drag performance and jaw-dropping body contortion. And the fact that it was set to Kesha's song "Woman" made it all the better.
Watch for yourself, below.
Naturally, Scarlett Business earned a "yes" from all four Judges, with Klum saying, "I love a girl that can do it all: perform, dance, do all the contortion. It was beautiful. You're beautiful to watch."
How far will Scarlett Business make it on AGT? Watch Season 17 Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, starting May 31, to find out.
