It's that time of year to curl up on the couch with a mug of coffee and ease into a day of cooking by watching the 2023 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! The annual star-studded event is a celebrated American tradition, and this year there will be no shortage of celebrities on hand to help ring in the holiday season.

NBC's coverage of the 2023 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will be hosted by TODAY's Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker.

Parade performers

As usual, singers and musicians from all styles and genres will brave the New York City chill to deliver fun performances. This year the featured star is the iconic Cher, performing selections from her new album, Christmas, which includes the new original single, "DJ Play A Christmas Song." Study up on the chorus so you can sing along...

Other floats-turned-stages will be occupied by the bands Chicago, Bell Biv DeVoe and En Vogue, Artists like Brandy, Jon Batiste, and Jessie James Decker, and singer Katharine McPhee and her husband, legendary producer David Foster. Viewers can also see performances from K-pop boy band ENHYPEN, Americana band Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors, and a cappella sensation Pentatonix.

Rapper Paul Russell is expected to make an appearance, as is Colombian singer Manuel Turizo, and country singer Alex Smith, accompanied by fiddler Amanda Shaw. Ashley Park will also sing with the cast of Sesame Street.

Jabari Banks, of Peacock’s Bel-Air, Jimmy Fallon and the Roots, and Jax are set to perform at the parade, too. 

Special guests

More famous faces to look for: Olympic Silver Medalist Jordan Chiles, track and field Paralympian Ezra Frech, Paralympic Gold Medalist swimmer Jessica Long, and Miss America 2023 Grace Stanke.

Lacey Chabert, Andy Cohen, Leslie Odom Jr., Abigail Spencer, and Kenan Thompson & Kel Mitchell will make special appearances. Paris 2024 Olympic hopefuls in beach volleyball, Kelly Cheng and Sara Hughes, along with Paralympic hopeful in track & field Ezra Frech, will also join the festivities.

Broadway's best

Viewers across the country will be treated to the annual taste of Broadway as performers from many of the major new musicals bust out in song and dance. This year, the special live correspondents will be Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells of Broadway’s Gutenberg! The Musical!, and other featured shows will include & Juliet, Back to the Future: The MusicalHow to Dance in OhioShucked, and the revival of Spamalot.

And of course, it wouldn't be the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade without the Radio City Rockettes!
