Ice T Does This Daily for 10 Minutes to Feel Incredible at 67: "I'll Stand On..."
The SVU star shares his secret workout regime!
On most filming days, Ice T is on the set of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit at 7 a.m. sharp, and since he wakes up between 5:00 and 5:45 a.m. each morning, that doesn't leave a lot of time for the star to get in a good workout.
We kid — that's plenty of time for Ice T to get in a good workout.
In a March 2022 interview with GQ, the longtime SVU icon spoke about keeping himself healthy after two-plus decades on the show. When you look as good as he does, there has to be a secret to his health. And as it turns out, Ice T incorporates a morning workout routine that is not only easy for fans to implement, it can be worked into even the busiest schedules.
Ice T candidly revealed his daily — and surprisingly straightforward — workout regime.
"I have an elastic resistance band," he explained. "So I'll stand on that, even sometimes in my closet, and I'll do 100 biceps curls. Then, I go downstairs. I might take a sip of an energy drink because I need a little boost and I don't drink coffee. Then I'll go to my small gym and I'll do 10 pull-ups, 25 dips, and 25 to 50 bench presses every single morning."
If that seems daunting, don't worry. As the man himself attests, you only need a few spare minutes to get the job done!

"That whole workout right there takes less than 10 or 15 minutes," Ice T revealed. "I have always felt that anything is better than nothing."
But getting a good sweat in is merely part one of his routine. After his workout, he makes sure to get in a hearty breakfast — of Cheerios cereal! Who would've guessed?
"I've been eating Cheerios my whole life – little did I know that Cheerios have been the number one cereal for 60 something years," he said. "They're good for me. They're good for my heart."
(That's about as far away as it gets from Snoop Dogg's favorite way to start the day.)
What Ice T does every morning clearly works for him — he looks fantastic at age 67!
Ice T speaks about the importance of taking care of yourself at any age
Having a simple morning routine is crucial for Ice T to stay healthy. And like Dwyane Wade, who memorably took advantage of his platform on TODAY by advocating for men to go to the doctor regularly, Ice T stresses the importance of taking care of yourself.

"I've seen some of my friends pass away in their forties from just neglect," he said in the same interview. "It's a wake-up call now, as men — especially black men — we don't go to the doctor until something's wrong. I want guys to know it's OK to look out for your health, care about your family, and care about your loved ones."
