Jimmy Fallon and Queen Latifah Reminisce About Filming 2004's Taxi—and Weigh a Sequel?
"I'm ready when you are," said The Equalizer star on the possibility of a Taxi 2 with Jimmy Fallon.
Queen Latifah is an acting legend, yet which movie does she get asked the most about by fans? Her role in the '90s classic Set It Off? Or her Oscar-nominated performance as Mama Morton in the movie musical Chicago? How about for the 2004 action-comedy, Taxi, which she co-starred in with Jimmy Fallon?
It was a reunion for the two when Queen Latifah stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on February 15. The award-winning music and screen superstar has actually been a regular on the talk show over the years: Fallon revealed that this was her 11th guest appearance.

Fallon first asked Latifah about being the recipient of a prestigious Kennedy Center Honor, but talk eventually turned to Taxi, which they both still get asked about all these years later.
"20 years ago we were in a film together called Taxi," said Fallon to cheers from the audience.
"We've never been the same," Latifah joked, with The Tonight Show Host revealing that people tell him it's "their favorite movie."

"Listen, I don't know how many languages Taxi is dubbed in," added Latifah, "but everywhere I have gone in the world, somebody has seen Taxi."
Even though it's been 20 years, the meter hasn't run out on the possibility of a Taxi 2. Fallon said he gets asked by fans if "there is any truth to the rumors that you guys are working on a sequel to Taxi?"
"Do we have anything to tell anyone tonight?" teased Fallon.
"I mean, I'm ready when you are," answered Latifah. "Judging by your schedule you wont be ready for at least another 27 years."
Fallon said he "would be down. I would do it 2 seconds, I would do it."
"I don't think I've ever laughed harder in my lifetime," he added, reminiscing about crashing a car together during filming because they were giggling too hard.
"Go on the interweb and let people know that you want to see Taxi 2," Latifah told the audience.
Hear that, Taxiheads? Let the grassroots campaign begin! This sequel needs to happen, because it's clear there's an everlasting love between these two.
