John Legend Touching Chrissy Teigen's Baby Bump at the Emmys Is So, So Sweet
The Voice Coach and Cravings author are the definition of a power couple.
The Emmys red carpet is always a star-studded affair, and this year's was no exception. Seven-time Coach of The Voice John Legend and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, were among the attendees and looked simply stunning on the red carpet.
Legend put his vocal prowess to powerful use while performing the 2021-2022 in memoriam segment for the Emmy Awards, honoring powerhouse performers like Betty White, Bob Saget, and Sidney Poitier. Legend performed his new song "Pieces" off his upcoming studio album, Legend, a beautiful track that explores the grieving process and learning to love again. You can always rely on Legend to bring a heartwarmingly lasting show, and his memorable Emmy performance was nothing short of perfect for the occasion.
Appearing on the red carpet, Legend looked dashing in a white suit with a striking black bowtie, eager to pose with his wife. A pregnant Teigen beamed for the cameras while sporting a shimmering floral pink dress that perfectly accentuated her baby bump. The two lovebirds cheesed for the camera, with Tiegan simply glowing while Legend lovingly touched her pregnant belly.
Tiegan announced that she and Legend were expecting another baby on Wednesday, August 3 in a heartwarming Instagram post. "The last few years have been a blur of emotions, to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again. 1 billion shots later (in the leg lately, as u can see!) we have another on the way," Teigen captioned the post alongside pictures of her baby bump.
She continued, "Every appointment I’ve said to myself, 'OK, if it’s healthy today, I’ll announce,' but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still. I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves, but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful, and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing. OK phew it’s been very hard keeping this in for so long!"
Legend is gearing up for an exciting 22nd Season of The Voice, starring alongside rival Coaches Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, and newbie Coach Camila Cabello. Fan eyes are peeled to discover who will take home The Voice's Season 22 win. Find out when The Voice premieres Monday, September 19 at 8/7c on NBC.
