The Voice family just got bigger!

How to Watch

Watch The Voice on Mondays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

On June 28, Chrissy Teigen announced that she and Voice Coach John Legend recently welcomed son Wren Alexander Stephens via surrogate. The baby was born on June 19. Teigen revealed the news in a heartfelt Instagram slideshow  in which she opened up about her and Legend's journey with fertility, IVF, surrogacy, and losing their son, Jack, in 2020 due to a partial placenta abruption.

"For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted four children," she wrote. "After losing Jack, I didn't think I'd be able to carry any more babies on my own. To be honest, I've personally blocked out out a lot of my mindset during that time, but one clear memory is being surrounded by people who wanted to make sure I wouldn't go through that pain and loss again."

Teigen went on to explain that she and Legend then decided to pursue surrogacy in order to have more children, but following a therapy session, she made the decision to try IVF one more time — just as she did with her and Legend's oldest children Luna, 7, and Miles, 5. This led to the birth of Esti, who was born on January 13, 2023 and is currently 5 months old. However, while Teigen was pregnant with Esti the couple also met their surrogate, Alexandra, who Teigen described as "the most incredible, loving, compassionate surrogate we could ever imagine."

After their initial embryo transfer with Alexandra didn't survive, they tried once again, which resulted in Wren's birth.

"Our hearts, and our home, are officially full. And to our Jack, we know both their angel kisses are from you," Teigen concluded.

For the final three slides (swipe left on the post to see) she shared photos kissing Alexandra's pregnant stomach, her and Legend as she held a newborn Wren, and the first-ever solo shot of Wren — who already has a ton of spiky black hair.

Soon after Teigen's announcement, Legend (whose given name is John Roger Stephens) made his own Instagram post showing off a brand new photo of him with Luna and Miles as he held Wren and Esti.

His simple caption read, "Wren Alexander Stephens, our new love."

Congratulations to the Stephens family, and welcome to the world, baby Wren!
