Keke Palmer gave the most precious gift to her 1-year-old son, Leodis, by singing him a lullaby that has sentimental ties to her family.

On February 20, the Password Host shared a moving story: She sang the song ''Inseparable'' by Natalie Cole to Leodis, which she chose because her mother frequently sang it to her father when she was a child.

''My mom sang this to my dad at their wedding!'' Palmer wrote on Instagram. ''I wasn't there, but all growing up as a party trick, he would put my mom on the spot to sing 'their' song. It wasn't until I was an adult that I realized she didn't write the song! That's how well she would sing it!''

She continued, ''I have nothing on her, but randomly while playing with Leodis in the living room, I just started singing it to him. I guess that's what real love makes you feel!''

Palmer shared a video of herself singing the song, and if this is what Leodis got for his lullaby, then he's a very lucky kid. Watch the clip, below.

All about Keke Palmer's son, Leodis

Leodis was welcomed to the world on February 25, 2023. To announce his arrival, Palmer made a heartwarming Instagram post about how excited she was to become a mother.

''Mommy’ing is coming along if you were looking for an update," she wrote. "I have juggled quite a few careers but this is my greatest gig of all. Learning how to balance it all and looking forward to discovering this new person I am becoming. I will never be the same again, but if you thought I was a bad mama jamma before, you can’t imagine the greater purpose my son has given my life!"

She continued, "Also, loving the new world I get to indulge in now as a mom. I have so many things bagged in my Amazon cart, haven’t quite pulled the place the order button, but it feels good just adding it to the cart. You know, fake shopping hahaha. Mom 'stuff' is a big business, who knew."

In December 2023, Palmer showed us that her son already has a mind of his own. During a sweet Christmas photoshoot, the baby adorably refused to cooperate with his outfit.

"Happy Holidays! From my family, to yours. He wouldn’t let me tuck his shirt in. And whatever he says goes," Palmer captioned the post.
