So, aside from being a doting father-of-three and loving husband to an Emmy-winning news anchor, what does Henry Hager do for work? Let's check out what he's up to when he's not stopping by the TODAY studio.
Henry C. Hager's early political career
Henry's career — and love story with Jenna — began in politics. After getting his M.B.A. from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and a B.S. from Wake Forest University, Henry started his political career by becoming a West Wing associate to Karl Rove and a senior advisor to President George W. Bush. After serving that post from 2001 to 2003, Henry became the deputy operations manager for the Bush-Dick Cheney presidential campaign in 2004, where he eventually met his future wife.
Henry served Bush's administration at various posts, holding positions in the U.S. Department of Commerce and working closely with Secretary Carlos Gutierrez from 2005 to 2006. His tenure at the department opened other doors, especially surrounding business development and investment.
