Kelly Clarkson Hit the Highest Notes in a Beautiful Cover of The Script's "Breakeven"
Clarkson put her own unique spin on the 2000s alt-rock hit.
Kelly Clarkson sang a a deep song about heartbreak on a recent Kellyoke.
On November 1, Clarkson covered a 2000s alt-rock tune, "Breakeven" by The Script, and totally made it her own. During her performance, she sang the verses with pure passion, and of course wrapped things up with impressive belting.

What to know about "Breakeven" by The Script
Released off the band's self-titled debut album in 2008, "Breakeven" reached the number 12 position on the Billboard US Hot 100 charts.
"We realized there wasn’t a song out there that kinda spoke from the guy’s perspective on an actual breakup," guitarist Mark Sheehan told Billboard of the song in 2017. "We knew we had a great song, we knew we really liked the song, we love playing it as a band, but we didn’t really know if it was gonna be as big of a song as it was."
