The trailer begins with Stabler (Christopher Meloni) in a church confessional, telling a priest, "Bless me father for I have sinned. What does the Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 5 trailer show?

A vehicle in flames flashes on the screen in the trailer, and in a separate scene, viewers see Sgt. Ayanna Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt) tell Stabler, "I need you to go undercover." Viewers also get a glimpse of Stabler's son Eli in his NYPD uniform, as his dad tells him, "Eli, it's been an honor to watch you to grow up to be the man that you are today."

Flashes of gun shots, explosions, at least two different victims lying on the floor and ground, and the revelation of an "outbreak of serial murders" are also shown. And, as Bell says, "Jet's in trouble," referring to Det. Jet Slootmaekers (Ainsley Seiger).

The most disturbing Season 5 scenes show Stabler in the driver's seat of a vehicle as a truck crashes into his. Viewers then see Stabler in a hospital bed with tubes coming out of his nose as his mother pleads, "Do not make me bury you."
