After a mostly-icy Wild Card weekend of frozen pro football, we at last have the complete eight-team picture that frames what's shaping up to be a sizzling divisional round of the NFL playoffs.

One of the biggest remaining playoff matchups is set to pit two upstart NFC quarterbacks against one another on Sunday, when Baker Mayfield leads the Tampa Bay Buccaneers into hostile Michigan territory. For the 10-8 Buccaneers, it could be an uphill climb: Led by quarterback Jared Goff, the 13-5 Detroit Lions are favored early as the home team inside the climate-controlled comfort of downtown Detroit's Ford Field.

How to Watch Tampa Bay vs Detroit in the NFC Divisional playoff game?

Kickoff for Sunday’s January 21 NFC Divisional playoff game is set for 3 p.m. ET, with the game being broadcast live on both NBC and in simulcast on Peacock.

Though the Bucs have at times sputtered offensively this season, Mayfield appears to have righted the pirate ship at just the right time, connecting for three touchdowns and 337 yards in a decisive Wild Card rout of the Philadelphia Eagles on January 15.

The Lions, meanwhile, are forging a new chapter in the franchise’s storied history, having just notched their first playoff win — a close 24-23 defeat of the Los Angeles Rams — to score their first playoff victory since 1992. Tampa Bay has of course seen more postseason action during that same extended period, including a big Super Bowl LV win with former QB Tom Brady over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in 2021.
