Dust off your favorite cowboy hat because you’re in for a night full of toe-tapping performances and celebrating the best of country music. In honor of the Grand Ole Opry’s 100th anniversary, NBC is broadcasting the Opry 100: A Live Celebration, a three-hour live event hosted by Blake Shelton.
“The Grand Ole Opry has been connecting the country music family for 100 years,” Shelton said in a statement. “And I’m so proud to be part of this historic celebration.”

On Wednesday, March 19, the Opry’s 100th live anniversary special begins at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, and will conclude at 11 p.m. ET.

In addition to the jam-packed live performance schedule, the anniversary special will also celebrate the Grand Ole Opry’s long history, dating back to when it started as a barn dance radio show in 1925. Since then, the Opry has helped launch the careers of countless country music stars.
Shelton, the country legend behind hits like “God’s Country” and “Austin,” said in a statement that “becoming a member of the Opry is a highlight of my life and career, and 15 years later I still get that same feeling of reverence and excitement every time I walk out on that stage."
