ENISA From New York Is American Song Contest's Second Redemption Artist
This fan favorite is getting a shot at the Grand Final!
The American Song Contest Semi-Finals kicked off in late April, bringing us one step closer to the Artist who will win Best Original Song. There are two Semi-Final episodes; the first happened Monday, April 25, and the second airs next Monday, May 2. Each episode will feature 11 Artists, 10 who were voted from the Qualifying Rounds, and one Redemption Artist who was eliminated and brought back. The first Redemption Artist performed on the April 25th episode: Ryan Charles from Wyoming, whose song "New Boot Goofin'" took TikTok by storm.
And we just found out the second Redemption Artist who will perform in the May 2nd Semi-Final episode: ENISA From New York. With over 1.9 million Instagram followers, it's no surprise the calls to bring her back were heard loud and clear. Her song "Green Light" is a banger, so she will surely bring it in her Semi-Finals performance. "New York, I got your back," she posted to Instagram in March.
But will this be enough to secure her a spot in the Grand Final? We'll have to wait and see.
When Ryan Charles was announced as the first Redemption Artist, he told ASC Host Kelly Clarkson on her talk show, "It's amazing. For me to come back is a blessing, and I'm pumped up about it...It's crazy to get all the messages and the calls. The crazy support I got from everyone in Wyoming, it's been really cool to see."
American Song Contest airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
