How Divighn on The Voice Season 27 Is Related to Tim Allen: "He's a Great..."
The actor revealed his relation to the talented Artist on The Voice Season 27 in a sweet post on Instagram.
As Divighn continues to impress the Coaches on The Voice Season 27 from the Blind Auditions to the Knockouts, he’s also made his family very proud. In fact, his very famous relative, actor Tim Allen, gushed about his son-in-law’s musical talent.

How Divighn on The Voice Season 27 is related to Tim Allen
Tim Allen revealed on Instagram that Divighn on Team Bublé is his son-in-law.
“My son-in-law is surprising everyone on The Voice. Check out this high note he hit on Monday when he won this round,” the Toy Story actor wrote in a March 2025 post after the Battles, adding a message just for the Artist. “And Divighn, I’d like my hat back.”
“I’ll never give the hat back! NEVEEERRRRRRRRRR,” Divighn cheeky responded on the post, which Bublé liked. “Ok fine…I’ll do it in exchange for a cameo in Toy Story 5. WHICH I’m excited to see btw.” (For those curious, the fifth Toy Story movie is, indeed, in the works).
Divighn is married to Allen’s eldest daughter, Katherine Allen. While Katherine stays out of the spotlight, Divighn posted a photo on Instagram in January 2025 that appears to be from their wedding, featuring the couple both wearing crowns.
And when Allen appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier in 2025, he shared that his daughter married into a “big family.” The Santa Clause actor also revealed that Katherine asked him to take dance classes with her for the big day. “She called and said, ‘Would you go to dance class with me?’ And she was surprised, I said, ‘Yeah, I’ll do that' … because I don’t want to make a fool out of me,” Allen laughed, adding that they attended five one-hour sessions together to prepare. “And you know what? It worked.”

Allen also shared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that his son-in-law Divighn is a “great guy” who had nervously asked him for his blessing before he proposed to Katherine. “I know he wants to ask me, he’s that kind of dude. So we go to a basketball game and he’s sitting there, [he] didn’t know how to say it, and he goes, ‘I’m sweating’ through my pants,” Allen recalled.
After the game, Divighn had asked Allen if they could talk, though the Home Improvement actor knew all along what his future son-in-law wanted to ask him. “I knew all the way through, I was stretching it out. He was sweating through his clothes,” Allen said. “But what a genuine great human being. I take him to the den, he sits down, and it’s just like in the movies … I said, ‘You are the greatest guy.' And he’s a great son-in-law, huge family.”

While Divighn went home after his Knockout performance during the April 7 episode, he expressed his gratitude for The Voice and his Coach. “When one door closes, another one opens,” he wrote on Instagram, hinting that he has something in the works on May 30. “Such an amazing experience!” he added in another post.
