They might only be high school seniors, but singing California twins Justin and Jeremy Garcia had a super-smart ace up their sleeve for their Season 25 Blind Audition on The Voice tonight. After all, it’s impossible for a Coaches’ duo like Dan + Shay to resist the musical power of pairs.

How to Watch

Watch The Voice on Mondays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

“That was unbelievable!” Shay Mooney gushed, after he and Dan Smyers agreed early in the twins’ audition that it was time to swivel their own dual-chair and smash the big red Coaches' button. “Man, that was a fantastic performance. From the first time I heard you guys harmonizing, and I found out it was two people, I was like, ‘We gotta turn around — this sounds amazing!’”

Dan + Shay weren’t the only Coaches beguiled by the twin's well-harmonized performance of One Direction’s “Story of My Life.” Praising the Garcias' on-stage groove as “super-developed,” Chance the Rapper wasted no time being the first to pivot only seconds into their set… with Dan + Shay and Reba McEntire following super-close behind.

Reba, in fact, made her own hard sell for persuading the Garcias to join her team — even as Dan + Shay kept things interesting by playing their obvious two-for-one Coaches’ card.

“I  turned around because I grew up in a singing family,” said Reba. “… It takes me back to my childhood. I absolutely love your enthusiasm; the way you look at each other when you’re singing like — ‘We’re really here and this is so much fun!’ — I was really moved by it.”

“Don’t let her sweet talk you,” joked Shay, trying to talk over Reba’s rowdy protest (whose idea was it to give the Queen of Country a cow bell to bang on, anyway?!). “We’ve got just the chair for you and everything!” added Dan, while Shay leaned into the Coaches’ double dose of mentorship. “There’re some clear reasons why you should choose us!”

Two Coaches; two Artists — it all makes perfect sense, right? In the end, Justin and Jeremy put their heads together and agreed, tapping Team Dan + Shay as the Coaches who’ll join them as their Season 25 journey unfolds.

How far will Season 25 take Justin and Jeremy Garcia? Find out by watching The Voice Mondays at 8/7c and Tuesdays at 9/8c on NBC, and via next day streaming on Peacock.
