Kelly Clarkson Had the Sweetest Reaction to Her Talk Show's 9 Emmy Nominations (UPDATED)

The Kelly Clarkson Show won big once again at the 2022 Daytime Emmy Awards. The talk show nabbed an Emmy in seven out of nine categories it was nominated in, including Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host and Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show—both for the second year in a row. This made the series the most-awarded show during the 49th annual ceremony. 

Though Clarkson wasn't able to attend the June 24 ceremony to accept the honor, in May she had the sweetest reaction to the news of her show's nominations. See it for yourself, below: 

At the 48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards in 2021, during the virtual ceremony, Clarkson made a point to recognize everyone behind-the-scenes who made the show possible. 

"Thank you so much everybody for voting for me,” said Clarkson. “I would love to accept the award just for me, but honestly, I think everybody that's ever done a show like this knows there's a whole heap of people standing around behind the cameras. And our staff and making me look good and sound good and getting these brilliant stories and heartfelt stories that we get to share with everybody, and thank you to my band...I thank you for the award, but honestly, so many people are deserving of this—not just me." 

Days of Our Lives and the 95^th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade also each took home an Emmy for NBC. Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem (available on Peacock) was also nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, making it the first spin-off ever to be nominated alongside the original.
