Love Island USA Season 5 Premiere Date Announced with New Teaser Trailer

It’s almost time to head back to Love Island USA for another steamy season. Season 5 of the hit reality series is set to premiere later this summer, officially making it the Summer of Love for fans far and wide.

The new season, which will premiere on July 18 exclusively on Peacock, will of course have sex appeal, high strung drama and gasp-worthy moments, but Love Island USA is, at its heart, a game show with a $100,000 winner at the end.

The game is fairly simple: A group of singles enter a beautiful villa in a tropical location where they’re immediately paired off into couples based solely on their immediate physical attraction to one another. After that, it’s all a matter of showing their partner that they’re actually into them, because if someone chooses to break up with them and they find themselves not coupled, they can get sent home from the villa.

Fear not, new singles enter the villa throughout the show to tempt people into exploring greener or not so greener pastures. Islanders are put through various challenges and games to test their connections as well. In addition to trying to hold onto their partners, the Islanders have to make sure the public believes in their love connection. 

See, unlike most other dating shows, the viewing audience gets a say in the action. Throughout the show, they’ll be given the opportunity to vote for their favorite couples and will ultimately have the final say in which one is given the $100,000 cash prize.

The fifth season will take place in Fiji with an all-new group of singles searching for love in a villa with tropical views. Throughout their stay, the Islanders will face challenges, temptations, and deal with a roller coaster of twists and turns that host Sarah Hyland will undoubtedly throw their way.

To get people primed and ready for all the steamy adventure that lays ahead, the newly released trailer has scantily clad people preparing bigger challenges, bigger dates and smaller bathing suits ready for a summer of love (and really drama).

The Islanders will have to decide if they want to remain with their current partners or try something new with someone else in the villa. The viewers at home will get to vote on who gets another shot at love and who has to leave the villa alone and empty-handed. What's not to love? 

New episodes will be available for streaming six days a week. Season five is produced by ITV Entertainment. Love Island USA starts streaming on July 18.
