On May 12, Blake Shelton received his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He had many people on hand during the star ceremony to sing his praises, including his OG Voice Coach rival Adam Levine and his wife, Gwen Stefani.

How to Watch

Watch The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

In an interview with Access, Shelton opened up about how hearing his wife give such a thoughtful speech on that day affected him emotionally, especially since their second anniversary is coming up in July.

"I kinda felt like we were getting married again. Like, she was reading her vows or something," he told the outlet.

He continued, "It's incredible. That's a big step for Gwen because she loves to sing and perform, but she hates, like, speeches and speaking, so I hate asking her to do that, but there's nobody else I'd want to hear that from."

Stefani's heartwarming speech to her husband on Walk of Fame day was nothing short of gorgeous. "There is no one more authentic than this guy. He lives and he breathes country music," Stefani said. "He is a country music jukebox, and it is in his DNA. He was born to do this and hasn't done anything because he's wanted to be a star; he has just always been a star."

She continued, "With 28 number-one singles, 23 seasons on The Voice, Blake has always stayed true to himself. There is nobody like him; he is a one-of-a-kind guy, and the audiences all fall in love with him. He's humble, he's genuine, and trust me, wherever we go, everybody feels like they know Blake Shelton."

Stefani added, "Blake, you are a rare human being, and for all the success that you have had in your life as a singer, a songwriter, a musician, a performer, an entertainer, an actor, a comedian, an entrepreneur, he's the same guy today as he was back then. A country guy with a lot of love for country music. He's magnetic, the most generous person you'll ever know, and always just him no matter where he goes. Making people laugh, making people happy, making jokes. The reason Blake Shelton is here today on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is because you are part of the country dream, the Hollywood dream, and you are part of the American dream. And everybody knows you are my dream come true. I love you."
