Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus' Beautiful, Live Duet of "Fifteen" Is Timeless

The two pop stars nailed this performance back in 2009.

By Jackie Manno

In 2009, two major pop stars joined forces at the Grammy Awards: Former The Voice Coach Miley Cyrus (Seasons 11 and 13), and the one and only Taylor Swift.

How to Watch

Watch the Season 26 premiere of The Voice on Monday, September 23 at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

Performing together for the first time, they sang a gripping rendition of Swift's tune "Fifteen." During their performance, Swift crooned with her acoustic guitar, handling the verses, while Cyrus handled the chorus with her signature passionate raspy tone.

What to know about "Fifteen" by Taylor Swift

Written by Swift for her second album, Fearless, the song tells the story about a girl's freshman year of high school and her experience with teenage heartbreak.

The song was acclaimed by critics. "It broadens her potential market from teenage girls to anyone who used to be a teenage girl," The Guardian wrote about the tune in 2009.
