In The Hunting Party, FBI officer Rebecca "Bex" Henderson (portrayed by Melissa Roxburgh) has a lot on her plate.

How to Watch

Watch The Hunting Party Mondays at 10/9c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

For starters, there's the daunting task at hand of finding and recapturing all of the criminals who managed to escape from the top-secret prison for serial killers, known as The Pit. Then there's her love life, which has managed to infiltrate her work. It's no secret that there has been some serious romantic tension between Bex and The Pit prison warden Oliver Odell (Nick Wechsler), who happens to be her former partner on the force — and maybe something more.

The only issue is that there also seems to be something forming between the FBI agent and former Pit security guard Shane Florence (Josh McKenzie).

A love triangle is slowly starting to take shape between the three, and where it's headed could cause more harm than good.

The Hunting Party's Josh McKenzie fuels love triangle storyline

Shane Florence (Josh McKenzie) sorts through papers in The Hunting Party Episode 104.

McKenzie recently explained in an interview that the bond between Bex and Shane is only just beginning to grow. And, despite Odell's sure-fire feelings and his previous history with his former partner, there's not a clear frontrunner.

"Coming up, there's going to be a lot of things that test the strength of that relationship and test loyalties all over the team. So definitely an interesting thing to explore, and especially with Odell, it's very obvious how he feels about Bex," McKenzie told Screen Rant. "He wants a romantic relationship. I don't want to speak on behalf of him, but it's pretty obvious. So I think in terms of story, it makes for a more interesting dynamic. It's a slow burn, I feel. That's how I feel about it.”

McKenzie also warned viewers to question everything, including the intentions behind the developing romantic storylines. After all, there are still unanswered questions related to the prison break. And, with all of the twists and turns that have happened in the season thus far, it's best to expect the unexpected.

"Is it a ploy? What do these people actually feel about one another versus the greater conspiracy at play here?" he said. "Because there is a grand conspiracy underpinning everyone's dynamics, everybody's motivations.”

Will Bex choose Shane or Odell? Keep watching the find out.
